CAPE ELIZABETH, MAINE - The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Athletic Department held its annual awards banquet on Tuesday, May 5 at Purpoodock Golf Club in celebration of its student-athletes and the historic accomplishments achieved throughout the 2025-26 academic year and athletic seasons.

SOUTH PORTLAND, Maine—At the conclusion of the semester, Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) Interim Director of Athletics Ethan Wells published the findings of the semi-annual Fall 2025 Athletics Engagement and Academic Report. The report shows student-athlete GPAs and retention rates based on United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) normal progress rules for athletic participation eligibility—a higher threshold than those standards of the College.

KENNEBUNKPORT, Maine – The Southern Maine Community College women’s golf team finished tied for first at the University of New England Invitational on Wednesday, October 8th, at Cape Arundel Golf Club, matching the host Nor’easters with a team score of 257 (+41).

Women's Golf

STATE COLLEGE, Penn.— The Southern Maine Community College (SMCC) men's golf team placed fourth at the United States Collegiate Athletic Association (USCAA) National Championship event, carding a total score of 628 over two rounds. The tournament, held at the prestigious Penn State Blue Course, featured top teams from across the nation, and SMCC proved its place among those programs on both the men's and women's circuits.
